The Pruitts headed west for vacation this year to celebrate a number of milestones, including a celebration of Lewis & Clark's great journey, the centennial celebration of the St. Louis World's Fair and Olympics and the Golden Anniversary of John and Joyce Pruitt! Everyone started vacation with a trip to the beautiful St. Louis zoo, where Sophia got to see the giraffes and Andrew enjoyed the Sea Lion show! After a hot morning at the zoo, the group headed to the St. Louis Arch to travel upward 640 feet to view the entire city.

On Saturday evening, we celebrated grandma and grandpa's fiftieth wedding anniversary. Congratulations!

On Sunday, we visited with Aunt Betty before heading to the St. Louis Science Center, where John, Evan and Claire spoke at length with a shuttle astronaut and enjoyed looking at each other through infra-red goggles.

After a trip to Six Flag's, the Magic House, a riverboat ride down the mighty Mississippi River and lots of local cuisine, we headed home to rest!
